Our mission is to be beacons for the world. In other words, no matter where we are or whatever situation we are in, we must let our
lights shine! We will form global network alliances of professional, educated, strong and sincere women so that there is a Sigma Phi Psi
Sister in every military location - stateside & abroad! (so that each
Sister will always have another Sister to turn to) In
completion of this objective, we will be able to carry out our total
Military,
Educational, Service and
Social missions.

Our
military aspect is our most important aspect.
Our
"Military" objectives as a Sorority
are as follows:
*Establishing Chapters
stateside and abroad, so that Sisters will have
support network
alliances. ex. Have you ever arrived at a new post and
knew
no one there? You had to locate things on your own, learn where to go
and/or
where not to go. Well, this is one of the things we are in the process of
changing.
This is why we are establishing network alliances of Sisters at
every
military location, stateside and abroad. This way, no matter where
the
United States Armed Forces send you, you know you will always have a
Sister
to call on in or around your location.
*To establish a Sister
Emergency Relief Fund (SERF). This will help Sisters who may have a
family emergency and have exhausted all external systems and agencies for
financial assistance but still require monies that are not readily available.
*To establish family /
armed forces liaison protocols. This is also very
important.
Sometimes family members need liaisons to go between them and
the
United States Armed Forces for different reasons. One of the most common reasons
is that a family member is trying to locate you and they just don't
know how to find your military location. This happens quite often to
individuals who have been stationed overseas. At this point, we will
act as a liaison by contacting military entities to find your exact
location and relating this information to your family [only after your
family has provided us with supporting documentation regarding relationship to
you].
Our "Educational"
objective is to encourage Sisters to
strive higher than they
have ever
strived in their lives. Our goal is for every Sister who does not
have a degree to attain one. Scholastic achievement and higher education
are very important to each and every Sister of Sigma Phi Psi Sorority. An
annual Founder's Scholarship will be presented to a Sister of Sigma Phi Psi.
Our "Service"
objective is to create and nurture
community outreach programs.
First
by helping our own military community such as disabled and homeless
veterans
and then by helping the community at large. We hope to provide
food,
blankets and toys for these families at rally times. Rally time will
occur
4 times per year. Times will be set as theme based quarters.
Our "Social"
objective is just that.....social.
Some down time through out the year for Sisters to just get together
and let our hair down. To share our lives with one another.
