EVERYTHING RUSH

What is Rush?
Rush is the process you go through to become a candidate for initiation into the Sisterhood.

Rush
With rush, rushees (potential pledges) are divided into groups and assigned a rush counselor.  Each rushee (pledge) is also assigned a Big Sister.  Your rush counselor will accompany you through your rush period and pledging process.  Rushees will be contacted by their Big Sisters and counselors via email and phone due to the geographical make-up of this unique organization.

Your particular rush group will become very familiar with each other thru email and phone calls.  Your group may choose to meet prior to the Initiation/Induction Ceremony for an informal interview (expenses bore by each individual).  This interview, if not conducted in person will be done by phone with your rush counselor.  The interview must be completed during rush period prior to reaching the initiation site.  Rushees must also send a small wallet size photo of themselves to the rush counselor for print in the souvenir booklet.  Check with your rush counselor for deadline.

Rush period begins 5 weeks prior to initiation / induction.  Rush period is never any longer than 5 weeks.  Rush period is followed by a 30 day bonding period and always ends with a 4 day Initiation / Induction Ceremony at a designated location.

Prior to initiation / induction, all rushees must have received an invitation to join.  Along with your invitation, you will receive more instructions.  After your 5 weeks of rush, your hosting chapter will vote on you.  Thereafter National Headquarters will notify you of your continuation for 30 days bonding and if successful, you will receive an invitation to complete your initiation/induction and become a part of our Illustrious Sisterhood.
